@monroe444 Its an absolute bloody nightmare making all butter puff pastry. Im sure if you google a recipe there will be loads but trust me when i say even the top resturants these days don’t make it anymore. If you buy a really good one then it will be just as good if not better than anything people can make. But google the recipe they will be there.

@hotchuddis most supermarkets will have frozen pasty in the frozen dessert section, check that it’s made with butter and not another fat.

  18. hotchuddis says:

where do you get the ready rolled buttered pastry from?

just go to the store, buy a bar of hershey’s and pilsbury crossants and do the same thing. no egg needed @ the end. takes 3 minutes to make 15-20 minutes to cook

Just search the web for recipe’s. I made some last year…a practice batch, and a serving to people batch. It took all day for each batch (a lot of chilling/rising time), and took a lot of work, but they were absolutely incredible to eat right out of the oven. They tasted WAYYYY better than the storebought ones, and I felt like a stud because I made them my self. They were a HUGE hit with the people I served them to.

  24. jolielaide1975 says:

It’s not really worth it. I’ve made it before and it takes a lot of time and effort, and in the end, you will have something that tastes just like the storebought ones. There are some real good recipies out there for puff pastry, it just really isn’t worth it in my opinion.

  25. Kamelie says:

It’s difficult! I remember doing it when I was like 11 years old, it took me four hours :) But it’s fun. It shouldn’t be too difficult to find a recipe.
