    that was priceless

    @Intactisin
    We all wish Christopher well. I believe the best we can do is live the best lives we can and carry on Christopers message of finding our own truth in the matter of religion. We need to shed the idea of the religious illusion solving the plagues of humanity.
    I wish you all the best in your research.
    Hail Hitchens!

  7. 4collarscool says:

    i literally burst out laughing in real life when he said “UGHGGH makes you want to go and have a shower”

  8. TheStigma says:

    Way to call it exactly as it is. Hitchens dosn’t pussyfoot around when it comes to calling out bullshit and doubletalk. Thats what makes him so great.

    Get well soon buddy. You still have more work to do :)

  9. sketto says:

    The bible was written by men.

  10. superflythaiguy says:

    Hitch Slapped!!!

  11. Hopeful71 says:

    The disdain Hitchens has here is epic. That guy needed to take a shower after being shit on like that for 10 minutes.

    I usually don’t agree with that approach but if you are wasting your time anyways, I guess why the hell not.

  12. thinkppl says:

    christopher….dear christ…you could have completely destruct him….WHY DID YOU RESORT TO CHEAP SHOTS??!!!

  13. strepsil08 says:

    “I’m glad of your chains.”

    As am I.

  14. Lem65 says:

    Agnostics – The transitional fossils that link Atheists to their ancestors – the Theists.

  16. TaterGumfries says:

    @ImagesByDavid Thanks. That puts old Tater’s mind at ease.

  17. AonaranMan says:

    “Religion is fine…as long as you’re on our side”.

    Christopher Hitchens is unbeatable.

    I think what I used to struggle with, having grown up in a “christian home” and a christian society was the idea “well there is some good in the bible” but if you are going to be a good christian you are compelled to to take it all, not cherry pick.
    I was not in a fundamentalist environment so the impact was more insidious.
    So I was an agnostic, unwilling to commit. Now hearing people like Christopher, Richard Dawkins et al, I can see it more clearly. Now I can say. I am an Atheist

  22. eahazell says:

    @sudburylawyer I know whatyou men. It ceases being funny anymore. In the beginning of these debates you are feeling “Yes Chris! Put them down! Show them!” shortly it’s more like “Oh please just shoot him, you can’t let him suffer like that it’s in humane.”

  23. ImagesByDavid says:

    @TaterGumfries

    Its ok I wouldnt worry about it old man.

  24. TaterGumfries says:

    @ImagesByDavid Tater is well aware of the nature of the godhead. His point is, a lot of Christians recite essentially what you did without understanding.

  25. ImagesByDavid says:

    @johnaiton

    “Thou shall not Murder”

    According to the Bible not all killing is murder. Murder is the unlawful taking of a human life.

    If a man like I said came into my home and was about to take the lifes of my family. I be sure to try my best to kill him. You it seems would let him slaughter your family. Well good luck with that.

  26. justblessed08 says:

    Wow what a blessing!

  27. TheYukiKuran says:

  29. SoniaRose71 says:

    @williamwagener umm…okay? are we comparing peoples gifts now? wow

  30. cherise00 says:

    YEAH!!!!

  31. williamwagener says:

    NICE…. but I prefer Mother Teresa methods, she did not sing on a stage, but went and helped the helpless, those dying and ignored. Mother Teresa made Bishops tremble and hide their earthly wealth. She humbly did the impossible, all the while suffering from a disease that should have killed her 40 years earlier.

  35. bjobbins says:

    @lovechild73 I think it was from 1999 Gaither Homecoming. Anthony Berger was playing the piano and he has since gone on to be with the Lord.

  36. bjobbins says:

    Sandi and Larnell are so together, and this is one of my very favorite performances for all time. Every Christian, who knows Jesus as their own personal Savior can sing this song from their heart!!

  37. ds876175 says:

    @kimkreuz27587 PRAISE GOD!!!!!!!

  38. Yaellfw says:

    All that I’d done before won’t matter anymore. not like any one before Yeshua (Jesus) became the first fruit and with his resurrection makes our redemption possible.

  49. rickyfan3956 says:

    I love how, at the end of the song, just as the last notes are playing, Vestal Goodman reaches up and whirls her hanky above her head like a whirly-bird! Ha ha ha! Good ol’ Vestal!

  50. rickyfan3956 says:

    I have a feeling that even a COMATOSE person would jump up and shout! This is one of those songs where, like Jesus said, if we don’t shout out the praise, the very stones themselves will cry out! Well, I don’t know about you, but ain’t no rock gonna take my place!
